Marco Pierre White Jr jailed for over three years after stealing £1,500 of Jellycat toys
Marco Pierre White Jr, who is the some of Michelin star chef Marco Pierre White, has appeared in court today after being remanded in custody over a crime spree
Marco Pierre White Jr has been handed a prison sentence today, following a string of burglaries and shoplifting offences.
The Big Brother star appeared at Isleworth Crown Court today via video link as the sentence was handed down, after admitting to a series of offences earlier this year.
The troubled son of the famous Michelin star chef Marco Pierre White had been held in custody on remand after pleading guilty to four counts of burglary as well as one count of criminal damage in court on August 20 in a crime spree across west London and Bath.
However, when the judge adjourned to consider the sentence, Pierre White Jr told prison guards he did not want to wait and returned to his cell. He was absent when the jail sentence was handed down. Marco Pierre White Jr was sentenced to three years and 10 months in prison.
During sentencing, Judge Edwards Connell said Pierre White Jr "is accurately described as [a] prolific acquisitive offender". Judge Connell described White's spree as a"'campaign of dishonesty" and spoke of his "wilful" and "persistent" non-compliance when on suspended sentences. He said: "All of the offences are aggravated by the defendant's appalling record for dishonesty and the fact that he was subject to one or for the most part two suspended sentences.
"In my view, he is quite aptly described as a prolific offender.
"He has a poor record on court orders, committing offences while subject to suspended sentence orders.
"The defendant is in breach of two suspended sentence orders, the first was imposed on 29 November 2024 for burglaries, for which he received a 10-week suspended sentence for 18 months."
He also activated 25 weeks of suspended sentences after Pierre White Jr breached them when committing the offences. These will be served on top of the prison sentence of three years and five months.
The troubled star's barrister, Sean Sullivan, said the offences stem from his "long-standing drug addiction", The Standard reports. And the offences came after the sudden closure of the treatment centre he was receiving support from.
Mr Sullivan said: "He has to steal to obtain funds to maintain his habit."
White earlier admitted four counts of burglary, criminal damage and a series of theft charges.
Pierre White Junior broke into a west London gallery and caused £27,000 worth of damage and stole two fluorite crystal lamp towers worth £13,600.
The TV star, who has struggled with drug addiction, also stole £1,500 worth of Jellycat plush toys after breaking into a shop in Barnes and took £7775-worth of natural rock crystal formations during a break-in at a Notting Hill shop.
The court heard today how Pierre White Jr would often have a Lime Bike waiting nearby to help make his getaway after committing the offences.
He also admitted to threatening to "hurt" a female working at Aesop in Westbourne Grove if she got in his way, while shoplifting £1,331 of hygiene products.
He appeared in court via video link today after previously appearing to admit a series of the offences.
