Kerry Katona breaks silence on 'amazing' new boyfriend after messy fiancé split

Kerry Katona has described her new boyfriend, Paolo Margaglione, as "amazing" as she spoke out on the relationship for the first time since meeting him on Celebs Go Dating.

Kerry Katona has spoken out about her new boyfriend, Paolo Margaglione, for the first time after meeting the hunk on Celebs Go Dating.

Fans have been watching the former Atomic Kitten star, 45, date Paolo Margaglione on the E4 show, and speaking about her new partner for the first time, Kerry says she "couldn't be happier". "Thank you all so much for the love you’ve been showing me on Celebs Go Dating, watching it back is so strange. As you can see from the show, I met someone really amazing during filming and I honestly couldn’t be happier," she wrote in her weekly New! Magazine column.

"I feel so lucky and like I completely won. It’s also been amazing watching everyone else’s stories, we all went on such a journey during the show and the experts did an amazing job," continued Kerry.

The mum-of-five shares children Molly and Lilly with her first husband Brian McFadden, Heidi and Max with second husband Mark Croft and youngest DJ with her late husband George Kay. While her new partner Paolo is a dad of two daughters from his previous relationship.

Kerry's new romance comes after she split from partner of six years Ryan Mahoney last November, following a "breach of trust". The former couple met on dating app Bumble and Kerry described the Personal Trainer as a father figure to her daughter DJ, before he moved out of their shared Cheshire home last autumn.

At the time, Kerry described herself as "heartbroken" as she explained: "Last week I spoke about how Ryan and I were having a tough time and now he has moved out of the house. We are no longer together and It's been a really tough week - I never in a million years thought this would happen. Without going into too much detail, there has been a breach of trust between us.

"I don't know if we'll be able to work it out or not, but I do still love him so much. I feel like everything has heaped on recently and it's so much to deal with, I am really struggling. But I know I can get through it no matter what happens, I've been through break-ups before and come out the other side, so we just need to see what happens."

Now loved up with Paolo, Kerry appears happier than ever. But the pair haven't had the smoothest ride so far, with Paolo's ex-girlfriend claiming he was in a relationship with him when he met Kerry and describing Paolo as "fame hungry".

Jessica Smith, a 25-year-old warehouse manager from Yorkshire, told MailOnline: "I do not believe that he has one single feeling for Kerry. He only cares about fame, and he’ll be happy he’s now being put out there.”

However, Paolo denied the claims, telling the publication: "I was never in a relationship with Jess. We only met up around five times. I was honest with her that I had been offered to go on a dating show and if it were to come fruition, I would take the opportunity.

"I made it clear to Jess that we had to stop talking and seeing each other as I had been offered to go on the show. I have nothing bad to say about Jess she's a great girl." Seemingly proving doubters wrong, Kerry and Paolo have been smitten ever since.
