Katherine Ryan shares first look at newborn baby after giving birth a week ago

Comedian Katherine Ryan has welcomed her fourth child, a baby girl, into the world and the star has now shared a glimpse into her life as a mum of four

Katherine Ryan has warmed hearts after sharing precious photographs of her newborn daughter following the birth a week ago.

The comedienne, 42, disclosed she had delivered her fourth child last Saturday, with her labour lasting just 45 minutes.

Katherine, 42, is already mother to three youngsters including son Fred, three, and daughter Fenna, two, with spouse Bobby Koostra, whilst she parents her 15 year old Violet from a previous relationship. A week after delivering her fourth child, the comic has provided a charming glimpse into life with another little one.

She posted a collection of heartwarming photographs on Instagram featuring a picture of baby Holland moments after her arrival.

Another image showed the infant bundled in pink woolens. The delighted mother captioned the endearing pictures: "One week of easy breezy Holland."

Many commented to praise the touching images, with one commenting: "Just beautiful!". Another said: "Stop it Katherine, you're making me broody!". A third remarked: "Congrats! What a beautiful little girl."

She revealed her pregnancy while on her podcast in June and has kept fans updated with the odd snippet. Katherine had tried to keep her baby news a secret for as long as possible; however, her daughter Violet gave a huge hint in a social media post.

The TV star's husband, Bobby, took to social media to announce the arrival of their daughter on October 18. He said: "Holland Juliette Kootstra has arrived. The 'Patrick Mahomes' of childbirth pulled out another MVP performance! Amazing to witness the greatness of @kathbum #blessed."

Sharing an image of their daughter, Holland was seen wearing a custom-knit babygro with her name on it. While another image showed proud dad Bobby carrying his newborn daughter out of the hospital to an awaiting car.

Further images showed little Holland being doted on by her older siblings, big sister Violet, sister Fenna and brother Fred, after she arrived back at the family home.

After giving birth, Bobby revealed that the Canadian star sipped on Dom Pérignon champagne from the comfort of her hospital room. A bottle of the vintage bubbles retails from around £189. Elsewhere, Katherine tucked into delicious food, including sushi from celebrity hotspot Nobu restaurant in the comfort of her swanky hospital suite.

Katherine first gave a hint that she was pregnant while making an appearance on Violet's TikTok page while the teen was sharing reviews. Days later, she stepped out on the red carpet showcasing her blossoming baby bump.

The couple chose not to find out the gender of their newborn in advance of the birth, with them divided on whether they were having a boy or a girl. In July, Katherine filmed herself in a mirror at home and declared: "This has got to be a boy."

Yet, she insisted: "We don't know," pre-empting questions about if they had found out the gender of their third child together. Katherine and husband Bobby appeared on her Telling Everybody Everything podcast to discuss their baby.

She said: "The boys are yours and the girls, I feel like, are mine." Bobby added: "I think the best thing for the family would be a girl." Katherine joked that the pregnancy "explained the 20lb weight gain", with Bobby admitting she had kept her pregnancy relatively secret.
