I'm A Celebrity star quits boyband tour after going missing from first reunion show

Five have reunited for a huge UK tour as they share a stage with each other once again, yet one music star has quit the scheduled dates after missing the first show

A huge music star has decided to quit Five's reunion tour after missing the first show this week. The boyband kicked off their tour on Wednesday in Cardiff.

However, huge musician and I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! contestant Naughty Boy was nowhere to be seen after signing up to be the band's support act. He was due to open for Five and get the crowd going with his hits La La La and Runnin'.

Naughty Boy, whose real name is Shahid Khan, admitted his "deep regret" at having to step away from the tour. He explained he is not able to join Sean Conlon, Ritchie Neville, Scott Robinson, Abz Love and Jason J Brown on their Keep On Movin’ 2025 tour.

In a message, Naughty Boy said: “This wasn’t an easy decision and believe me. I tried as I was excited to see you all and share the stage with the boys but it wasn’t to be.

“I want to sincerely apologise to Five, my team, and all the amazing fans for any inconvenience caused. The tour will be great and I look forward to seeing you all when I’m better — thank you.”

The music star was announced as support for Five back in March. He was due on stage on Wednesday night but failed to appear, leaving fans disappointed.

It has been claimed all his equipment was on the stage waiting for him as fans packed out the arena early to watch Naughty Boy perform.

Earlier this year, Five delighted fans by announcing their comeback following their split inn 2001. The group have reunited in various forms times over the years, and had – until now – performing as a trio formed of Ritchie, Sean and Scott.

Announcing the news on social media, the group wrote: "It’s true, the five of us are reuniting for a tour across the UK! This has been a long time coming and it really does feel right for all of us now – 25 years on and we’re so ready for it.

"We really can’t wait to get back on stage together and see you all in person, it’s gonna go OFF!! Let’s goooooo!" Speaking to the Mirror about the reunion, J admitted the ball first got rolling for him when he started speaking to Abz and Sean after more than 10 years of silence.

Ritchie was also in talks with other members, leaving J to happily admit: "It all just came together naturally for the first time since 2001." Scott confessed: "We didn't care about a tour at first," revealing there was much more at stake.

"All we cared about was reconnecting as human beings. I think that was first and foremost." Ten years after their last chat, the group met at an AirBnB and Scott gushed of the moment: "Obviously I had such an amazing experience back in the day.

"To reconnect with them in the AirBnB and then to reconnect on that friendship level and then to realise we can go on tour and do it as friends; for me personally, and I know I speak for all of the boys, that's all we wanted to do, reconnect as friends. Then, when the offer came in I thought 'wow, we can actually do that now for all of the right reasons'."
