Gordon Ramsay savages James Martin in expletive rant about Strictly Come Dancing

James Martin's fellow chef Gordon Ramsay couldn't help make a cheeky comment about him, as he admitted to turning down Strictly Come Dancing on multiple occasions

Gordon Ramsay has taken a playful jab at James Martin, as he explained why he consistently turns down offers to appear on Strictly Come Dancing. The renowned chef revealed that he's been approached by the BBC show multiple times, but his response has always been a resounding no.

While revealing his reasons for turning it down in an interview with LADbible, Gordon couldn't resist making a cheeky remark about fellow chef James, who took part in the show in 2005. In a video chat, the TV star started off by saying: "Guys, seriously, let's get one thing absolutely f*****g clear, shall we? Let me just show you something, very quickly."

He then held his trainers up to the camera, comparing them to a pair of dancing shoes complete with a mini glitterball design, commenting: "Size 15 feet. And then imagine those next to those.

"And then just think for a moment on that Saturday night spray tan. Well, you have to get into those leotards, right?".

"Stay calm downstairs, act normal and dance for two minutes in front of 10 million people. No f*****g way."

The 58-year-old went on to claim that the last time he was on a dance floor, "someone thought I was having a stroke."

Recognising that his dancing abilities might leave much to be desired, Gordon confessed he's "absolutely s******g" himself about a routine he'll soon perform with his daughter Holly at her forthcoming wedding.

"So how the f**k do these canoes get anywhere near a dance floor? So me doing Strictly - I've been asked every year for the last 20 years," he continued.

Taking a swipe at James, he went on to say: "I keep that for, you know, the James Martins of this world and the real chefs that have more time on their f*****g hands than I do - to dance on a Saturday night in front of 10 million blue-rinse brigade watchers.

"F**k off. Perfect. Let's get those shoes back on, shall we? Yes, yes, yes. Let's get rid of these size 15s. This goes straight back in my wardrobe. Yeah. There you go."

James was a participant on Strictly's third series, partnered with the show's former professional dancer Camilla Dallerup.

The duo made it to the semi-finals, securing fourth place overall. Previously looking back on his time on the programme, James said that while he loved the show, he battled with ongoing back pain.

Speaking to The Caterer, he revealed: "My back has never been as bad as the other week. It's the old chef's thing. I'm 6ft 3in and have been leaning over benches my whole career. You only discover the problem when you dance and get into strange positions."

James isn't the only celebrity chef to feature on the programme.

In 2017, Simon Rimmer stepped onto the dance floor with Karen Hauer, but didn't do quite as well as his fellow TV cook.

Despite his best efforts, he was eliminated from the show in week six after losing the dreaded dance-off to The Saturdays singer Mollie King.
