Denise Van Outen says she'll only do I'm A Celeb if it's in Australia not Wales

Denise Van Outen is eyeing up an appearance on I'm A Celeb but says she'll only do it on certain terms. The show took place in Gwrych Castle in Wales last year due to the pandemic and Denise is adamant she'll only sign up when it returns Down Under

Denise Van Outen has revealed she is keen on being a contestant on I'm a Celeb but will only sign up when the show returns to Australia.

The former Big Breakfast presenter is no stranger to competing on TV shows, as she's featured on Strictly Come Dancing, Dancing On Ice and The Masked Singer.

Denise was a favourite to win Dancing On Ice in January this year but had to quit early after fracturing her shoulder in three places in a horrific fall.

While Denise has previously declared she would like to make a return to Dancing On Ice, she is also eyeing up an appearance on I'm A Celeb.

However, she's adamant she'll only sign up for the show when it returns to Australia.

The ITV hit took place at Gwrych Castle in Wales last year due to the pandemic and it's due to return there again for the 2021 edition - so it looks like fans will have a long wait to see Denise on the show.

She told The Sun : “I do get asked to do it [I'm A Celeb] but there is no chance I can do it this year because I am at Proud [performing in a variety show].

"I will do it at some point. I think I’m A Celebrity for my 50th birthday would be something nice to do.

"But it has to be Australia for me, not Wales - as much as I love the Welsh. I am a lot more jungle vibes than castle vibes, to be honest."

Denise is wowing fans with her scintillating performances at London's Proud Cabaret Embankment as she performs in a sexy black corset and stockings.

Discussing her performances, the 47-year-old star says "I absolutely love it".

Denise admits that while fans get to gaze at her in the sexy attire, her partner of seven years is less than impressed that the outfits don't come home with her.

She quickly changes into her tracksuit bottoms and slippers once it's time to go home, much to partner Eddie Boxshall's dissatisfaction.

"I walk through the front door and he says to me, ‘Well, you didn’t look like that an hour and a half ago,’" she lsaid

The former Big Breakfast presenter made a name for herself in the nineties and was also a pin-up model - something which she certainly doesn't regret.

She even tried her hand at a role on EastEnders in 2015 as she played the part of businesswoman Karin Smart.

Denise made her West End breakthrough in a role in Chicago in 2001 before the show hit Broadway the following year.

And her love of the stage enticed her to join the Proud Cabaret line-up in March last year.

The variety show which she hosts and curates originally saw her perform alone, but she is now able to have performers join her - something she says keeps her on her toes.
