David and Victoria Beckham drop huge hint feud with Brooklyn is easing in telling move
David and Victoria Beckham appeared to show their support for their son Brooklyn Beckham with a simple gesture on social media despite the ongoing feud between them
David and Victoria Beckham appear to be trying to mend the rift with their eldest son Brooklyn Beckham after making a gesture.
Brooklyn, 26, shared a new video to Instagram showing off his culinary skills as he made buttermilk pancakes to the soundtrack of Eric Clapton’s Wonderful Tonight.
His famous parents then "liked" the clip showing their support for him, despite months of him being absent from his family. Both Brooklyn and his wife Nicola Peltz Beckham were notably absent when Victoria debuted her hit Netflix documentary earlier this month.
They snubbed the premiere of the show and they remained silent on social media around the release. They also did not attend when she held her huge Paris Fashion Week show, where all of the family watched to support her.
Brooklyn and Nicola were also absent when David celebrated his 50th birthday earlier this year, failing to attend both his party in the US, and his huge star-studded bash in the UK, leaving the Beckham's heartbroken. He also failed to pay any form of social media tribute to either parents on their birthdays, despite doing so in previous years.
Insiders close to the family have previously claimed that Victoria and David have “accepted they won’t see Brooklyn for the foreseeable future.” Brooklyn's brothers meanwhile have been crafting their own careers in the spotlight without his support.
Romeo, 23, is pursuing a modelling career, while Cruz has followed in his mum Victoria's footsteps and has been making music and gigging around London. Victoria and David's daughter, Harper, 14, meanwhile has a passion for fashion and beauty like her mum.
Victoria recently spoke out about her children being branded with the “nepo baby” tag, telling The Sun “it’s not their fault, give them a chance.” She shared: "Cruz has got music coming out soon. He’s spent the last ten years learning his craft — much like I did with Roland — learning to play instruments. He taught himself to play about seven instruments. He writes his own songs, he’s put a band together.
"He’s properly done it from the grass roots up. He hasn’t just come in and sung his songs, or demanded anything. I mean I can’t really give him any advice — the industry has changed so much." Victoria added that she had "told him," not to "expect immediate success", adding: "It’s almost better if it isn’t an immediate success."
Citing her own experience she continued: "You know, it’s like with my fashion thing — it’s taken me 20 years to get it to where it is. You’ve got to start small and build it up. And that’s exactly what he’s doing, playing tiny venues, no fuss, doing his thing."
Victoria also gushed that she is "so proud" of her son. She then criticised the nepo baby tag adding that he "is a nepo. I mean, I feel sorry for these kids that are considered nepo-babies."
She then pointed out that "The kids are simply the kids of their parents. It’s not their fault. Give them a chance. What matters is that people are good and kind."
She concluded, "It is fine to be ambitious, but it is more important to be kind. Let the music speak for itself before you judge.'
