The mission of Heart of Georgia Community Action Council, Inc. is to uplift individuals and families in the Heart of Georgia by offering a wide range of tool and essential services that meet basic needs and foster sustainable self-reliance with community partners.

What happens to a banana overnight if we cover it with milk, water, or paint? Perry Head Start scientists made predictions, set up three cups, labeled them, and checked back the next day to compare color, texture, and smell. We talked about fair tests (same-size banana pieces, same time) and used words like fresh, mushy, brown, coated, and smelly to share results. Science = questions + careful looking!

Crawford Head Start's young learners made winter hats to get ready for the cold weather. While snipping, gluing, and decorating, they practiced fine-motor skills, patterns, and color choices—and talked about how we stay warm in winter. ❄️🧢
