Taylor Swift once again made headlines for her intense privacy measures upon arriving at Morristown Airport in New Jersey on Sunday.
The 35-year-old superstar concealed herself under a black umbrella while two male staffers held multiple umbrellas to shield her from onlookers as she made her way to a waiting SUV.
Dressed casually in a black top and grey sweatpants, Swift then traveled 35 miles east to the members-only fitness studio DOGPOUND, located near her $80 million Tribeca residence in Manhattan.
While this was a rare public sighting, sources report that the singer is investing heavily in her personal safety.
According to The US Sun, Swift and her fiancé Travis Kelce are reportedly spending an additional $2 million on security, bringing their total protection expenses to $8 million.
This ensures the couple's safety not only at NFL games but in their everyday lives. Despite her presence at the Kansas City Chiefs' Arrowhead Stadium in Missouri feeling "100% safe and comfortable," the singer has yet to attend any away games this season.
Heightened security after stalking incidents
The need for increased security comes in the wake of stalking concerns. On September 22, Swift was granted a five-year restraining order against Brian Jason Wagner, a man who repeatedly showed up at her Los Angeles home and made bizarre claims about her.
A source told Daily Mail that the pop star "wants to feel much more protected this year with her security, especially with her current stalker issues. She doesn't want her whereabouts known every minute of the day. She wants to be safe and she wants her family and friends to be safe."
Even during NFL appearances, Swift takes precautions, once hiding behind a mobile screen as she entered a VIP suite at a game on September 14.
Despite these measures, she continues to be a highly visible public figure, prompting fans to occasionally spot her despite her efforts.
Outside of security matters, Swift's personal life has been a source of public fascination. She got engaged to Kelce in August after two years of dating, and her new album reportedly draws inspiration from their relationship.
The record has already dominated charts, with four singles, "The Fate of Ophelia," "Opalite," "Elizabeth Taylor," and "Father Figure", simultaneously ranking in the Billboard Hot 100 top 10.
Swift also continues to consolidate her musical legacy, having regained the masters to her first six albums in May, after a reported $360 million purchase from Shamrock Capital.
Fans can also look forward to her docuseries, The Eras Tour: The Final Show, premiering December 12 on Disney+.
Meanwhile, Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs are preparing for their next game against the Denver Broncos at Empower Field at Mile High on November 16, ensuring both personal and professional life remain in the public eye.
