F1 does not rest on its tour of North America. After the vibrant weekend in the United States, the 'Grand Circus' lands in Mexico for the 20th round of the season. The Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez will be the venue to welcome each of the drivers, from October 24 to 26, in a new event in the intense battle for the championship

There was no one who could stop Max Verstappen at the Circuit of the Americas. The world champion scored the maximum number of points on a day under the sprint format and sent a clear message to the McLaren drivers: the World Championship is a matter of three, not two. Lando Norris (2nd) managed to minimise the damage, while Oscar Piastri closed a difficult weekend in fifth place, scoring only 10 points in the overall standings
F1 standings after the US GP
Despite his result, Oscar Piastri (346) remains at the top of the championship. However, Norris cut the gap to his teammate by eight points and there are now only 14 points between the two leaders. Meanwhile, Verstappen, taking advantage of the 'papaya' mistakes, continues to climb the standings and is 40 points behind the leader and 26 behind Lando.
Fernando Alonso scored a valuable point after a weekend in which he claimed to have "the ninth best car" on the grid. Carlos Sainz was not so lucky, as a collision with Kimi Antonelli forced him to retire from the race and score another '0' in the calendar, a scenario in which he lost 10th position in the table to a surprising Nico Hulkenberg.
