Liverpool City Council

Liverpool Council governs the city of Liverpool. It is currently led by the Labour Party and Cllr Liam Robinson. The city council has a total of 85 councillors representing 64 wards. The council is now emerging from a turbulent process having had government commissioners installed in 2021 following a damning report into a host of failures. The commissioners have now left the city and the final report of an improvement board said Liverpool Council is now being 'well led' after significant improvements.
