This is a terrific example of how Cleveland Clinic Nursing is opening doors for students interested in a rewarding career in healthcare!
Cleveland Clinic nursing education recently hosted local K-12 educators for an immersive session focused on the Howley ASPIRE Pathways program. The event aimed to equip the educators with resources to assist students interested in applying and exploring Pathways healthcare careers. Participants engaged in hands-on activities related to healthcare careers in sterile processing, respiratory therapy, and surgical technology, including passing surgical instruments, participating in a mock code and learning procedures for preparing and decontaminating surgical instruments. Thank you to all who attended and assisted with making this event meaningful! We can't wait to make it an annual event, stay tuned to Nursing News from Cleveland Clinic for updates. Attendees includes representatives Lutheran East High School, Northern Career Institute - Eastlake, Euclid High School, Maple Heights High School, Cleveland Central Catholic, Beaumont School and Mentor High School. #AspirePathways #HealthcareEducation #CareerExploration #StudentOpportunities Meredith Foxx Lisa Baszynski, DNP, RN, NE-BC Linda Gardner (Reed) DNP MEd BA RN CNOR

Check out the latest issue of Stethos (link in the comments), the medical humanities journal of the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine. This issue is packed with thoughtful essays, poetry, artwork and photography. While many of the contributions are from our medical students, others are from caregivers across Cleveland Clinic. "As I immerse myself in Stethos 2025, I feel the calming effect of the artwork featured in this issue," writes Bud Isaacson, MD, Executive Dean and Professor of Medicine, in the Dean's Introduction. "It includes engaging photos from Northeast Ohio, South Dakota and Central Park; a beautiful recreation of a Monet; and a painting of the welcoming eyes of a dog after a long day." Kudos to the Editors-in-Chief Nandan Kodur ('26) and Michael Komarovsky ('27) and the entire team of co-editors. Enjoy!
