Gutenberg 24.2 is here. You can now keep notes open in a margin next to your content while the Settings sidebar stays in view. Navigation menus accept any link from a single search, and galleries can be sorted and tinted with a single duotone filter. https://lnkd.in/drQsKSg #WordPressDevelopment
The margin notes are a great touch for editorial teams, keeping feedback next to the content without losing the Settings sidebar. Single-search links in Navigation will save our clients a lot of clicks too. One tip for store owners: test 24.2 on staging first if you rely on custom blocks or WooCommerce templates. 🙌
Great to see Gutenberg focusing on practical workflow improvements. Keeping notes visible alongside the settings sidebar is particularly useful for content teams, and simplifying navigation link searches is another welcome change. These smaller usability improvements often have a bigger impact on everyday WordPress workflows than major feature additions. Looking forward to seeing Gutenberg continue improving both the editing experience and performance.
Good improvements in Gutenberg 24.2. However, there is still room to evolve towards a more modern, flexible and intuitive editing experience. Embracing new design approaches and staying open to emerging technologies will be key to meeting the evolving needs of developers and content creators.
Small WordPress improvements can make a big difference in content workflows. Better editing tools mean more time to focus on creating useful content that performs well in search. Looking forward to seeing how these updates improve the publishing experience!
Gutenberg 24.2 looks like a solid update. Notes beside the content, one-search links in menus, and a duotone filter for galleries all make everyday editing a bit smoother.
