I volunteered as a construction assistant throughout high school and college. In college, I volunteered with and served on the board of UW's student chapter of Habitat for Humanity. After graduation, I took a full-time role with Habitat for Humanity-International which placed me in New Orleans, LA to bring 700+ college students to the city to volunteer during their spring breaks.

I continued to volunteer with HFH while working full-time for General Mills as a local Twin Cities Metro, MN, board member, and fundraiser and also as the General Mills Company coordinator for HFH volunteering.
After a few years' pause, I returned to the US and volunteered with HFH in New Haven, CT where I assisted with administration and strategy, and I crafted the annual appeal letter for 2007.
