Apollo has announced the final close of Apollo S3 Equity and Hybrid Solutions Fund I, the flagship equity secondaries drawdown strategy of Apollo’s Sponsor and Secondary Solutions (S3) platform, with approximately $5.4 billion in commitments. The final closing exceeded the target and brings total capital raised across the Apollo S3 platform to nearly $10 billion in under three years amid growing demand for creative secondary capital solutions. Great interview by my partner Alex Gellman of Vertical Bridge and the current state of US Mobile Infrastructure. The key takeaways are simple: 1.) Capex. Capex will continue to remain robust for all three major US mobile carriers as we move to the 2nd phase of 5G deployments, in-fill sites and then on to densification; there are three phases to network optimization. 2.) Spectrum. The need for more spectrum in an AI world, where applications will be driven by inference and the amount of data that will be created and travel along these networks. I know our friend Brendan Carr understands this more than anyone, as does this administration! 3.) M&A. The market conditions for M&A remain robust in the United States, as private multiples have held in today. Public stocks have recovered against the backdrop of global public equities under major volatility, proving again, towers are the best way to invest in a defensive and uncorrelated sector that has produced 4 decades of returns - let's not forget what works. 4.) Eco-System. Towers and digital infrastructure will require material investment, and its not one vertical, towers, fiber, small cells, Wi-Fi, edge facilities and data centers. The entire eco-system is required and is global in nature, our customers require solutions across the planet today. This is worthy of a read, and the simple truth is, towers remain the best part of the digital infrastructure eco-system, few industries have delivered such consistent returns for institutional investors like towers since 1993 when the sector was created by our dear friend Steve Dodge (may he rest in peace). #mobiletowers #celltowers #towers #5G #edgeAI #inference #FCC #spectrum

KKR is making strong progress toward its $20 billion fundraising target for its latest North America buyout fund, having already secured $14 billion ahead of its first close. EQT, Europe's largest private equity firm, is set to invest 20 billion to 30 billion won ($14 million-$21 million) in Musinsa, South Korea’s fashion unicorn backed by KKR Co. and Wellington Management, according to investment banking sources on Monday.
