In 2015, the H&M Foundation came knocking on our door with an idea. The result was the Global Change Award, and last week we celebrated 10 years of bold ideas that can help decarbonise the textile industry. As partners in the Global Change Award, we have, to quote Ambercycle founder Shay Sethi "the duty and opportunity" to support the winners as they scale their solutions. For the past 10 years, we have seen 56 winners develop their innovations, from recycling technology, to bio-based dyes and leather made from leftovers from winemaking. Congratulations to this year's 10 winners and to the H&M Foundation for an insightful summit and beautiful award ceremony. Keep track of our 2025 winners! Meet a PhD student dedicated to making advanced cell research tools more accessible. Based on her research at Kungliga Tekniska högskolan, Jessika Jessika has founded OrCAGE ─ Organoid CAGE together with Akbar Bagas Pramantya. 💊 Organoid research holds great potential for studying diseases and testing new drugs, but imaging these tiny, 3D stem cell structures is still a major technical challenge. 🔬 OrCAGE solves this with 3D-printed microstructures that keep organoids localized for imaging and testing, making the process faster and more reliable. Read about Jessika’s journey from Sara Ilstedt's PhD course in Design Thinking to startup founder, and explore your own opportunities in KTH Innovation Launch: https://lnkd.in/dRGHb6KB #KTHInnovation #PhD #Innovation

The Rise Europe Sciencepreneurship & Tech Transfer Playbook: From breakthrough research to European tech champions is out! We're proud to have contributed alongside TUM Venture Labs and IE School of Science and Technology. 🔬Europe excels in research but struggles to bring ideas to market, only one-third of European patents are commercially exploited. This represents a massive opportunity for deep tech innovation driven by science-based entrepreneurship. 🏆 The Rise Europe Sciencepreneurship & Tech Transfer Playbook: From breakthrough research to European tech champions Sciencepreneurship sits at the intersection of research and entrepreneurship, turning discoveries into solutions for global challenges. As Europe works to strengthen its innovation capacity, making this translation from lab to market must become a systemic priority. 🌎 At Rise Europe, we identified sciencepreneurship as a cornerstone of Europe’s economic future. We gathered best practices and insights on how to empower researchers, manage IP, and build scalable ventures. The result: three unique approaches to turning research into the next generation of European tech champions. 🚀 🧪 From these, we gathered 7 guiding principles for startup hubs and innovation ecosystems to implement right away, to empower researchers, accelerate deep tech ventures, and transform science into market-ready innovation. 📘 Download the playbook: 🔗 https://lnkd.in/dKFBt_5J This is the first in a series of Rise Europe Best Practice Playbooks, sharing proven models from across our network so every hub can learn from them. Let’s Rise Europe 🇪🇺 A big thank you to our main partner UniCredit and to everyone who made this possible: Jana Golfmann Itziar Ayerbe Lasagabaster Rafael del Granado Sascha Schwarz Tobias Ruzok Magnus Baumann Ikhlaq Sidhu Julie Harari West Lisa Ericsson Viktor Olsson Lisa Bäckman Yuliia Falinska KTH Ventures AB 📸: Kasper Christiansen #LetsRiseEurope #RiseEurope #ChooseEurope #Sciencepreneurship #TechTransfer #Innovation #DeepTech #SpinOffs #StartupEcosystem #Playbook #UniCredit
