Gold hit a new high yesterday, surpassing $4,000 per ounce for the first time ever. We believe that the factors which have propelled the price of gold to this level will remain as tailwinds to the price for the foreseeable future. The market is increasingly recognizing gold’s intrinsic characteristics which have made it the savings instrument of choice for millennia. Gold is: rare, not replicable, and no one’s liability. Gold’s attractiveness will likely be enhanced going forward as sovereign debt levels rise, geopolitical uncertainty persists, and central banks begin to loosen monetary policy. Both of our gold focused closed-end funds, GGN and GNT, offer investors exposure to this trend in gold prices while also providing income from a monthly distribution to shareholders. As central banks reduce interest rates, the steady income provided by these two funds will be more attractive to investors. GGN: https://lnkd.in/etJqGq5J GNT: https://lnkd.in/eK9fuFxU

Portfolio Manager Hanna Howard was recently invited to speak at the Financial Times’ 2025 Business of Entertainment Summit on the “M&A in Entertainment: Growth, Competition, and the Next Big Deals” panel. Throughout the panel, a consensus became clear: the entertainment industry is at an inflection point. Capital, content, and technology are converging in new ways, and the next wave of M&A will be shaped by who controls premium IP, how efficiently they can monetize it, and how quickly they deploy capital across an increasingly global, tech-driven ecosystem.
