One of the beautiful things about community is that it can be found anywhere, no matter where you are in the world. 🌍 Say hello to Janet, one of our Ambassadors in Luanda. She’s sharing how the InterNations community has been a part of her journey, not only in Luanda, but also wherever her travels have taken her. ☺️

We love seeing posts from interns who feel they’ve grown a lot during their time here 🥰 Thank you so much for choosing to spend your time with us. We’ll miss working with you and wish you continued success in your career.
When I first started my internship at InterNations, I wasn’t sure what to expect, but from day one I felt encouraged and trusted to share my ideas, and guided in the smoothest way possible. That trust and start gave me the confidence to step out of my comfort zone and contribute as a true part of the team. As a Social Media Intern, I got to manage content calendars, create and share content, and engage with a diverse international community. Beyond the tasks, I learned how to adapt, communicate in different situations, and approach challenges with more creativity and confidence. Most of all, I want to thank Réka Barabás. Your guidance, encouragement, and constant support made all the difference. You created an environment where I felt comfortable learning, experimenting, and growing. And of course, thank you to the InterNations team for being so welcoming. I’m ending this chapter with skills, confidence, and a lot of gratitude, ready for what’s ahead! 💪

The Philippines is a favorite for expats in 2025... and it’s not just because of the beaches. Friendly locals, strong social connections, and a low cost of living make it one of the easiest places to settle in and truly feel at home. Could a strong community and warm welcome be the most valuable expat perks?
