A leading civil rights organization fighting for full equality and justice for LGBTQ+ people and people with HIV.
About us
Through strategic litigation, public policy advocacy, and education, GLBTQ Legal Advocates & Defenders (GLAD Law) works to create a just society free of discrimination based on gender identity and expression, HIV status, and sexual orientation. Since 1978, GLAD Law has been pursuing equal justice under law with enormous success. Our legal victories have changed the landscape of the law regarding sexual orientation, HIV status, and gender identity and expression. But more importantly, they have made a difference in the day-to-day lives of countless people. GLAD Law operates GLAD Law Answers, a free and confidential legal information line to provide LGBTQ+ and HIV+ people throughout New England with information and resources to help them advocate for their rights. You can contact GLAD Law Answers online at www.GLADLawAnswers.org, call 800-455-GLAD, or email GLADLawAnswers@GLADLaw.org.

Every family deserves access to legal parentage — because, as Polly Crozier, GLAD Law’s Director of Family Advocacy, notes, it “is vital to ensuring that children have the security and stability they need.” At a time when LGBTQ+ families face attacks nationwide, Illinois is moving forward to protect and respect all families. Efforts to restrict absentee voting are unnecessary, harmful, and threaten equal access to the ballot for all — including transgender voters who already face barriers to safely casting their vote. We must protect every Mainer’s right to vote. Find your polling place and make a plan to vote at JustVoteME.org https://lnkd.in/e9U4bKd8

Nicolas Talbott has long fought for his dream of serving in the military. Now he’s leading the legal fight against Trump’s ban on transgender servicemembers. We’re proud to support him in that case, and so excited that Nic was named one of Out Magazine's 100 most influential LGBTQ+ people of the year! https://lnkd.in/eAPU9tyy
