Yesterday afternoon #FairfaxBravest responded to a second-alarm townhouse fire in the 6200 blk of Levi Ct in Springfield. Crews arrived with two floors of fire on a middle of the row townhouse. Firefighters quickly went to work to extinguish the fire and perform searches. The fire is out. There were no civilian or firefighter injuries. Fire investigators are investigating.

It's #FairfaxFriday! This week, our Technical Rescue Operations Team (TROT) took part in a scenario-based “escape room” style training — each completed skill unlocked the next challenge. Members worked through a variety of technical rescue disciplines, including: - Personal rope skills – ascending, knot passing - Saw assembly and operations - Patient movement through a rubble pile - Search camera deployment - Heavy equipment and rigging operations - Paratech raker shore assembly - Paratech gantry use This format kept crews problem-solving under pressure, moving from one realistic rescue scenario to the next, and reinforcing the teamwork needed for complex incidents.
