NEWS: OpenAI is going big — and broadening its alliances. The company will use hundreds of thousands of Nvidia GPUs on AWS to power current and next-generation models, a move that supercharges its compute power and advances its reported $1.4 trillion infrastructure plan. It’s also a notable shift away from relying solely on Microsoft, giving OpenAI more flexibility across cloud providers. For Amazon, it’s a massive win. Landing OpenAI as a client positions AWS as a key player in the next wave of large-scale AI infrastructure. (via Bloomberg News)

Andrew Ross Sorkin has spent his career decoding power — from Wall Street to Washington to Hollywood. He’s one of the few who can move seamlessly between the newsroom and writer’s room, shaping how we understand money, media, and influence. The DealBook founder, Squawk Box co-anchor, Too Big to Fail author, and Billions co-creator has built a career at the center of the conversation — asking the questions that define an era. Now he’s turning his lens backward with '1929,' a deep-dive into the original market crash that reshaped the American economy. Eight years in the making, it feels eerily timely as AI valuations soar and investor optimism surges. Rich Kleiman sat down with Sorkin to talk 1929, the next correction, and why he’s still betting on curiosity. Read more at the link in comments.

Steve Jobs brought Tim Cook into Apple back in 1998; thirteen years later, Cook succeeded him — and the company has never been the same. Under Cook’s leadership, Apple became the first company in history to hit a $3 trillion valuation — and it hasn’t slowed down since. The company is now worth over $4 trillion, employs over 150,000 people worldwide, and generated $391 billion in recent annual revenue. Happy 65th birthday to a true tech icon.
