Scientists say there’s new evidence that settles the origins of a mysterious dinosaur excavated in the 1940s. Researchers have long debated whether a dinosaur skull found in Montana decades ago was a young T. rex or another type of dinosaur. A research team studied a new complete skeleton from Montana and claim it identifies the mystery reptile as an adult and a new species. Not all scientists are convinced, and some say the other mystery skeletons could belong to a younger T. rex. The research was published Thursday in the journal Nature. Michael Vick's signing with the Eagles in 2009 sparked outrage among fans due to his dogfighting conviction. Some fans refused to support the team, while others protested outside the stadium. Vick served 18 months in prison and later worked to rehabilitate his image, partnering with animal welfare organizations. He played five seasons with the Eagles and is now head coach at Norfolk State. Some fans have moved on, but others remain upset about his return to Philadelphia for a game against Delaware State. It's been more than six years since a Boeing 737 Max jetliner crashed in Ethiopia, killing all 157 people on board the plane. The aircraft maker has settled most of the dozens of lawsuits that families of the victims filed against it, but two of the remaining cases are scheduled to open before a federal court jury as soon as Tuesday. The trial in Chicago, which would be the first civil trial stemming from the disaster, isn’t expected to examine the the company’s liability. Boeing already accepted responsibility for what happened to Ethiopian Airlines Flight 302. Instead, a jury would be tasked with deciding how much Boeing should pay to the families of a 28-year-old mother originally from Kenya and a 36-year-old United Nations consultant, who was from India. Lucia Ortiz trudges through endless fields of cempasuchil flowers, the luminescent orange petals of which will soon cloak everything from city streets to cemeteries across Mexico. The flower, also known as the Mexican marigold, has been farmed for generations and takes the spotlight every year in the country’s Day of the Dead celebrations. But cempasuchil growers say they’ve been left reeling by torrential rains, stretching drought and other impacts from climate change that have grown increasingly common.
