The VR Room is a reservable library space on the fourth floor of the James B. Hunt Jr. Library. This space is built for the exploration of spatial computing concepts through augmented and virtual reality. It's also a great location to record and edit audio or video, especially of gameplay or development. 

This immersive studio space is designed for creators, developers, and explorers. Use the Meta Quest 3 or take advantage of our live capture tech, complete with background keying for high-quality visuals. Complete the Studios Orientation and reserve a time through our booking system to experience this fascinating equipment!

  •   How do I reserve and access this space?

    You must complete an online Studios Orientation before you can use the space.

    Checking in

    Please have your Wolfpack One card on hand for reservation check-in. Once you've made a reservation, please scan the QR code to check into the room, this will notify the Studios team that you're ready to get started and they will come assist you!

    Use Guidelines

    • Reservable up to 7 days in advance.
    • Reserve for up to 4 hours.
    • Reservable by Faculty, Graduate Students, Staff, Students.
    • After 15 minute grace period for arrival, space becomes available to others.
    • View room use guidelines.

  •   How do I get there?

    To locate this room you will do the following:

    Elevators:

    • Once you take the elevator to the fourth floor you will exit left out of the elevator lobby
    • Head down the hallway until you see glass rooms on a left wall overlooking the ground floors
    • The room will be the last room located out of five

    Stairs:

    • Head to the fourth floor
    • Once you reach the top of the landing you will take two lefts until on a long hallway
    • Contiunue down the hallway until you see glass rooms on the left overlooking the ground floors
    • The room will be the last room located out of five
