Kyiv explosives experts have safely removed two unexploded Russian drones that hit high-rise apartment buildings in the Desnianskyi and Obolonskyi districts during attacks on the capital, the Kyiv National Police @Kyivpost_official.
The drones, identified as Shaheds, struck residential buildings shortly before midnight on Wednesday, Oct. 22, but did not explode.
Police moved quickly to secure the devices, dismantle their explosive components, and transport them in blast-resistant containers to a training range, where they were safely destroyed under controlled conditions.
The attacks on Kyiv continued overnight on Oct. 22-23. Seven people were injured and at least 10 locations across three districts reported damage.
The Podil district was hit the hardest, with damage to schools, religious buildings, a museum, and offices.
