Omaha police are seeking the public's help to identify two women who stole purses from Bloom Boutique at Westroads Mall on October 23 and fled in a car that crashed in the parking lot.
The incident occurred around 1:30 p.m. when the women entered the mall and, about 20 minutes later, snatched two purses from the boutique. They outran the store owner during their escape.
Police said their white Dodge Avenger crashed into a car in the parking lot, but they continued driving and did not stop to exchange information.
According to the police report, the other driver said "Westroads Mall security appeared to be chasing after one of the females in the vehicle before getting into the accident."
The store owner reviewed footage from two days prior and found a woman in the same sweatshirt stealing another purse.
The three bags were valued at about $60 each.
Police believe the suspects are likely in their late teens and may be driving a white Dodge Avenger with rear-end damage.
