THE INVESTIGATION. BACK HERE. A VIOLENT ROBBERY CAUGHT ON CAMERA. AND YOU’LL NOT ONLY SEE THAT ATTACK OF A MAN, BUT ALSO THE ATTEMPTED THEFT OF HIS BIKE AND KITTENS. IT’S ONLY IN KETV CRIME STOPPERS. AND IT COMES FROM A PARKING LOT AT 30TH AND VINTON. ABOUT 930 THE MORNING OF WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 3RD, AN SUV PULLS UP, THREE GUYS GET OUT AND IT DOESN’T TAKE LONG. THEY START SWINGING, KNOCKING A MAN TO THE GROUND. THEY KEEP PUNCHING AND KICKING WHILE ONE OF THEM GOES TO THEIR REAL TARGET. IT’S AN E-BIKE. THE KITTENS ARE IN A BASKET ATTACHED TO THE BACK. THEY CAN’T GET AWAY. THEY CAN ONLY WATCH AS THE VICTIM KEEPS FIGHTING BACK. THE MEN WILL ONLY GET A CELL PHONE BEFORE LEAVING. THAT COUPLE OF THEM ARE SPOTTED A SHORT TIME LATER, RUNNING THROUGH A NEARBY NEIGHBORHOOD. SO HOW’D THEY KNOW ABOUT THE BIKE? I HAVE THIS SURVEILLANCE FREEZE FRAME FROM ABOUT TEN MINUTES BEFORE THE ASSAULT. YOU CAN SEE THE WOULD BE CAT NEIGHBORS. ALSO CHECKING OUT THE BIKE. NOW, THEY WERE ALL WEARING DARK JEANS, ONE IN A DARK STRIPED SHIRT, ONE IN A WHITE T SHIRT AND BLACK CAP. THE THIRD IN A BLACK HAT COVERING HIS FACE WITH A BLUE BANDANA. AND THEY WERE IN A LIGHT BLUE OR SILVER SUV. NOW THAT VEHICLE HAS BEEN RECOVERED, BUT MAYBE YOU SAW IT AND NOTICED THAT PEOPLE OPENED THE PASSENGER SIDE DOORS FROM THE OUTSIDE AS IF THEY COULDN’T FROM THE INSIDE MIGHT HELP YOU REMEMBER THE GUYS IN IT. A violent robbery was caught on camera.The incident happened near 13th and Vinton streets around 9:30 a.m. on Sept. 3. An SUV pulled up, and three guys got out. They knocked a man to the ground and kept punching and kicking, while one of them went for their real target.It was an e-bike and the kittens that were in a basket attached to the back.The victim kept fighting back, but the men got away with his cellphone before they left. A couple of them were spotted a short time later, running through a nearby neighborhood. They were all wearing dark jeans.One had on a dark striped shirt, while another was in a white T-shirt and black cap.The third had on a black hat, and he covered his face with a blue bandana.
