Following the events of the Avengers: Endgame, an alternate version of Loki, is summoned to the mysterious lair of the Time Variance Authority, a bureaucratic organization that exists outside of time and space, and takes care of the universe's timeline. Keen on fixing the damage Loki has done by stealing the Tesseract, the group, give Loki a choice: join forces with them to fix the universe's timeline and put an end to a greater risk, or face being erased out of existence due to a time variant. In order to stay alive, Loki, is forced to trade in his freedom and put his mischief to good use.
