
A man in his 20s has died following reports of a disturbance involving a group of individuals in Tyrrelstown in Dublin on Saturday night.
Gardaí in Blanchardstown say they are investigating all of the circumstances surrounding the young man’s death after receiving reports of a disturbance involving a group of individuals at Curragh Hall Crescent, Tyrrelstown at approximately 10.30pm on Saturday, November 1.
Gardaí say that upon their arrival, those involved in the disturbance had dispersed and a male in his 20s arrived at Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown a short time later with serious injuries. He was subsequently pronounced deceased.
A male in his 20s has been arrested in connection with the incident.

Dublin stabbing victim named
A young man who died following a suspected stabbing in Dublin has been named as Victor Mamaliga, who was aged in his early 20s.
Gardai responded to reports of a disturbance involving a number of people at Curragh Hall Crescent in Tyrrelstown near Blanchardstown at around 10.30pm on Saturday.
Gardai said that upon their arrival, those involved in the disturbance had dispersed from the scene.
A short time later, a man - who has been named locally as Victor Mamaliga - arrived at Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown with serious injuries. He was later pronounced dead.
Man continues to be questioned over fatal stabbing
A man in his 20s continues to be quizzed in garda custody after he was arrested in connection to the fatal stabbing of another man in Dublin.
Gardai responded to reports of a disturbance involving a number of people at Curragh Hall Crescent in Tyrrelstown near Blanchardstown at around 10.30pm on Saturday, November 1.

Shortly afterwards, a man in his 20s was arrested in connection with the investigation and is being held at a garda station in Dublin.
Garda search team arrive at scene
A Garda search team has arrived and are searching a wooded area within the estate. It's understood they are looking for a weapon that may have been used in the fatal stabbing and other evidence.
Incident occurred close to scene of 2010 murder
The scene of the incident is close to where Toyosi Shittabey, 15, was murdered in April 2010.
Toyosi died from a single stab wound to the chest following a row with ‘racial undertones’.
Local heard a shout: 'He's gone into the woods'
Locals told the Irish Mirror they observed a commotion on Curragh Hall Drive, near the apartment where an altercation had occurred outside.
According to those at the scene, another man appeared to be attempting to help the injured individual into a car.
“He got the injured man into the car and then they drove away,” one witness said.
“I heard someone shout, ‘He’s gone into the woods,’” another local said.
“I’m not sure if that meant the person who stabbed him ran into the woods.”
Garda Technical Bureau completes forensic work
The Garda Technical Bureau has concluded its examinations at three separate scenes connected to the ongoing investigation.
Following the completion of the forensic work, a Garda search team is expected to arrive at the location in an effort to locate a weapon believed to be linked to the case.
Local residents speak of shock at the incident
Local residents in the Curragh Hall Crescent area of Tyrellstown, where a male in his early 20s was fatally assaulted following an incident on Saturday night, have spoken of their shock.
“It’s absolutely shocking,” one local resident told the Irish Mirror as she was entering her home close by.
“My friend was over visiting last night and when she was leaving at around 11am all the squad cars were coming into the estate. I live close by where it happened but we never heard a thing.”
Another resident, who has lived in the estate for the past ten years, said the area has changed so much in recent years.
“I am shocked. I am living here. I don’t like to be in a place where something wrong happened. I don’t feel safe here,” the resident, who is originally from Spain said.
“There are a lot of people with cars and motorbikes who don’t live here and gangs coming into the area.”

There are currently three different crime scenes at Curragh Hall Crescent in Tyrrelstown. The victim is believed to have been in the area with friends, when an incident happened outside an apartment and a chase ensued into a wooded area close by.

An Garda Síochána issued a statement on the incident this morning, which read:
"Gardaí in Blanchardstown are investigating all of the circumstances surrounding the death of a male in his early 20s following an incident in Tyrrelstown, Dublin 15, on the 1st of November 2025.
"At approximately 10.30 pm, Gardaí received reports of a disturbance at Curragh Hall Crescent, Tyrrelstown, involving a group of individuals. On the arrival of Gardaí, those involved had dispersed. A short time later, a male in his 20s arrived at Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown with serious injuries. The male was subsequently pronounced deceased.
"A male in his 20s has been arrested by investigating Gardaí and is currently detained under Section 30 of the Offences against the State Act, 1939, at a Garda station in the Dublin Region.
"The scene at Curragh Hall is currently preserved for examination by the Garda Technical Bureau. The office of the State Pathologist has been notified.
"A Senior Investigating Officer (SIO) has been appointed to lead the investigation from the incident room at Blanchardstown Garda Station. A Family Liaison Officer (FLO) has also been assigned to support the family of the deceased.
"Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to this incident to come forward.
