Queen Elizabeth's corgis at risk as Andrew issued urgent warning over 'killer'
Andrew Mountbatten Windsor, formerly Prince Andrew, has been issued an urgent warning over his seven dogs - including the two corgis he inherited from Queen Elizabeth II.
Both Andrew and Prince William have been told they must keep their dogs away from a lake in Windsor Great Park - where King Charles is Head Ranger - due to poisonous algae.
The potentially-deadly algae has been discovered in Obelisk Pond - just a mile from Royal Lodge, the home from which Andrew was evicted this week. Charles was informed that a late “bloom” of the algae has taken over the royal lake, and has ordered warning signs to be put up to keep dogs out the water.

Royal insider's brutal one-word assessment of ex-prince Andrew's new life

They added: “It’s going to be a lonely life for him. It’s a working farm, so there are always people around – but they are staff, and he’s not someone who has a track record of being friendly with servants.
Decision to revoke Andrew's titles receives massive public support
An overwhelming majority of the general public has supported the King's decision to revoke his brother's titles, with a still significant but slimmer majority saying he moved too slowly.

Queen Camilla 'appalled' by Andrew's Epstein association
The decision to strip Andrew of his titles was influenced by the Queen’s concerns about his impact on her work with sex abuse victims, it has been reported.
The Telegraph reports that Camilla was appalled by Andrew’s association with paedophile financier Jeffrey Epstein and felt the ongoing row was getting in the way of her public duties. The Queen has supported survivors of sex attacks and domestic abuse for years and it was recently revealed in a new book that she herself fought off a man who groped her on a train when she was a teenager.

Andrew to receive six-figure payment to cover move
Andrew Mountbatten Windsor is set to get a six-figure payout and an annual payment as part of his “relocation settlement” after being forced out of the Royal Lodge, it has been claimed.
Former prince Andrew will receive the one-off payment to cover his move from Windsor to private accommodation in Sandringham, Norfolk, followed by the regular stipend to prevent him from “overspending in his new life as a commoner”, The Guardian reports.
The annual payment privately funded by King Charles would be worth several times his £20,000-a-year navy pension, the paper adds.
What Eugenie and Beatrice really think about Andrew's latest scandal
Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie "have been left bereft" by the scandal surrounding Andrew — but just as much for their mother as their father.
The siblings have "grave concerns" for Andrew Mountbatten Windsor, 65, after he was stripped of his titles. These are so deep Beatrice, 37, and Eugenie, 35, are said to have supported their dad amid the furore, which increased on Friday when it emerged he had told disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein it would be "good to catch up in person" months after the paedophile was released from prison.
Sandringham locals fume at 'horrible man' Andrew moving to their town
Andrew's pending move to Sandringham after being told to leave the Royal Lodge has not gone down well with locals, with one calling him a "horrible man".
Retired office worker Susan Larkins, 70, who was visiting the cafe at Sandringham on Friday, said it was “way past time” that Andrew’s titles were removed. Ms Larkins, of nearby South Wootton, said: “It was way past time before they did that. He’s a horrible man. We don’t want him up here.”
Vanessa Beech, of Docking, who was dog walking at Sandringham, said the King had “most certainly” made the right decision. “It has to give out the right message I would think,” she said. "Up here? Well he’s got to go somewhere. It is what it is, isn’t it? He has got to be somewhere and now he’s been stripped of his titles.”
Where will Andrew live now?
Andrew will be moving to a property on the £60million Sandringham estate after leaving Royal Lodge, according to reports.
He will also surrender the lease on the Royal Lodge and "move to alternative private accommodation", the Palace said, understood to be a property within the grounds of the Sandringham estate in Norfolk. This will be paid for from the King's private funds, the BBC reported.
Sarah Ferguson lived with her ex-husband Andrew at Royal Lodge but will not be housed by Charles and will have to find a new home.
Andrew's royal title removal was a 'family decision'

How Queen Camilla influenced the decision to strip Andrew of his honours
The decision to strip Andrew Mountbatten Windsor of his honours and titles was influenced by the Queen's concerns about his impact on her work with sex abuse victims, it has been claimed.
According to the Telegraph, Camilla was appalled by Andrew's association with paedophile financier Jeffrey Epstein and felt the ongoing row was getting in the way of her public duties.
The Queen has supported survivors of sex attacks and domestic abuse for years and it was recently revealed in a new book that she herself fought off a man who groped her on a train when she was a teenager.
The King stripped his younger brother of his Prince and Duke of York titles in a dramatic move on Thursday night and a statement from Buckingham Palace stressed both his and Camilla's thoughts were with victims of abuse.
The statement said: "Their Majesties wish to make clear that their thoughts and utmost sympathies have been, and will remain with, the victims and survivors of any and all forms of abuse."
Sandringham locals fume at 'horrible man' Andrew moving to their town

Visitors to the Sandringham Estate welcomed the King’s decision to strip the former Duke of York of his titles, but they did not seem keen on the idea that the disgraced royal will move to the Norfolk estate. Charles has formally stripped his brother Andrew of his Prince and Duke of York titles and HRH style, and Andrew has also agreed to leave Royal Lodge in Windsor.
The former prince, whose friendship with convicted paedophile financier Jeffrey Epstein led to his downfall, will be known as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor.

This bombshell came just weeks after it emerged Sarah Ferguson — no longer known as Sarah, Duchess of York — also emailed Epstein, apologising for calling him "the P word" in an interview distancing herself from him in 2011. Prince Andrew's grim 'catch up' email to Epstein months after prison release
A newly released grim email saw Andrew ask Jeffrey Epstein to "catch up" just months after the paedophile was released from prison for prostituting children.
The shocking message comes just hours after King Charles started the process of removing all royal titles from his disgraced brother - including 'prince' - and booting him out of his Royal Lodge mansion.
In an email on April 15, 2010, Andrew told the convicted sex offender he would try to "drop by" New York later in the year and that it would be "good to catch up in person", court documents released on Friday show.

'Andrew deserves everything that's coming to him'
Outside Windsor Castle today, visitor Roy Davies, 75, from Molesey, Surrey, said he believes Andrew “deserves everything that is coming to him”.
He said: “It’s been a joke. Andrew has lived an entitled life since it all started. If he had come clean, all this could have been settled.
“He should have had more sense when meeting that chap Epstein. As soon as he heard rumours, he should have said, ‘that’s it, I’m out of here’.”
Prince Andrew must be quizzed by cops, says Royal Family's former head of protection
The Royal Family’s former head of protection tonight called for Andrew to be quizzed by police, as his alleged victim Virginia Giuffre’s family demanded "more justice".
Dai Davies believes the former prince and Duke of York has questions to answer in relation to allegations made by Ms Giuffre, which Andrew, 65, denies.
And he said he wants to see a separate investigation launched into the actions of police and Crown Prosecution Service bosses, who refused to pursue a case against the former royal.
Mr Davies, who was head of Scotland Yard’s Royal Protection Command between 1994 and 1998, told the Mirror: "I want him to be investigated. There should be a police investigation and if there’s evidence he should be interviewed under caution like anyone else."

Where could Andrew live on the Sandringham Estate?
It has been reported Andrew will not be moving to Wood Farm on the Sandringham estate, the property favoured by the late Queen and her husband the Duke of Edinburgh who preferred its cosy surroundings to the main Sandringham House.
But there are a number other properties available, ranging from Park House, the birthplace and childhood home of Diana, Princess of Wales, to York Cottage, where King George V lived before becoming monarch.

No plans to change law to remove Andrew from line of succession
In the next few days the King is expected to send to the Lord Chancellor David Lammy the royal warrant, affecting the dukedom, and letters patent which will formally remove Andrew’s entitlement to use the title prince and HRH style.
But Number 10 has said there are no plans for legislative changes, when asked about potentially making it easier to strip peerages in the future or remove Andrew from the line of succession.
“From the Government’s perspective, there are no plans to make legislative changes,” the Prime Minister’s spokesman said.
He added: “The Government is focused on using parliamentary time to improve the lives of working people.”
Andrew's family will keep corgis, says Buckingham Palace
The corgis of the late Queen Elizabeth II which were adopted by Andrew Mountbatten Windsor and Sarah Ferguson are to remain in the care of their family, Buckingham Palace has confirmed.
The couple took over the care of Muick and Sandy after the monarch's death, housing them at Royal Lodge.
But now with the couple's departure from the Windsor address, speculation had arisen over who would keep the two dogs.
Buckingham Palace said in a statement tonight: "The corgis will remain with the family."
However, it did not clarify if it would be Andrew, Sarah or Princesses Eugenie and Beatrice who would give them a home.

'They all came to see the same thing - a disgraced former prince'
The Mirror's Patrick Hill spent the day outside Andrew's soon to be former home - but despite witnessing a joke from an arriving driver, he found there is little for the royal family to smile about.
From curious passers-by to the world’s media, they had one thing in common - the hope of catching a glimpse of Britain’s disgraced former prince.
The closest they got was the sight of two of Andrew’s bodyguards driving out of the gates of the royal’s soon to be former home.
But the dark grey Land Rover discovery which left Royal Lodge just after 4pm was not carrying the man now humbly known as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor.

Andrew 'tried everything possible to resist' being booted from Royal Lodge home
Andrew allegedly tried everything to push back on having all of his royal titles removed and getting kicked out of his mansion.
Last night, Buckingham Palace revealed King Charles started the process of removing all royal titles from his brother - including 'prince'.
The King will also kick Andrew out of his 30-room Royal Lodge home, which he shared with ex-wife Sarah Ferguson.
Andrew gave up the use of his other titles, including the Duke of York, earlier this month following mounting pressure about his relationship with convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein - allegations which Andrew has strongly denied.

Andrew 'finally accepted his damning new royal fate after King Charles threat'
Andrew reportedly accepted his fate after the King warned him that he could “topple us all” if he didn’t leave the Royal Lodge.
The move appears now to have been carried out by his brother Charles over concern about the impact of Andrew’s scandal on the Royal Family’s image. Andrew reportedly didn't want to be responsible for bringing down the family.
The News Agents’ Emily Maitlis told the podcast: "When I asked last night what brought Andrew around, I was told that the Monarch had simply made him see the ultimate threat, in other words, and this is a phrase that was used to me - I don't think it's that the words that the King used - 'You'll topple us all'.

Andrew could sell his story, says Emily Maitlis
King Charles might be worried that his brother, Andrew Mountbatten Windsor, could follow in Prince Harry's footsteps and write a book or sell his story to TV, Emily Maitlis has suggested.
The journalist, who interviewed Andrew for BBC Newsnight back in 2019, said on The News Agents podcast - which she has been presenting daily since 2022 - that the fact the monarch will continue funding his brother privately might be a way for Charles to keep an eye on Andrew and ensure that "no craziness" happens.

Secret royal 'helped King Charles with brutal Andrew statement'
A secret royal might have helped King Charles draft his brutal statement about his younger brother Andrew, an expert has claimed.
Communication and body language expert Judi James suggested that the tone of last night's Buckingham Palace statement appeared different from the normal tone of the monarch, as he usually appears averse to confrontation.
Speaking exclusively to The Mirror, Judi suggested someone else "might have been involved" in the "strong and uncompromising" decision to strip Andrew of all titles.

Why Andrew's move to Sandringham from Royal Lodge has been delayed
The King's disgraced brother Andrew will not move from his Windsor mansion to Sandringham until after Christmas, because of the lengthy process of giving up his home.
Charles stripped his younger sibling of his Prince and Duke of York titles after the continued public outcry over his connections with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and sexual assault claims.
Andrew, who denies the allegations, has agreed to move out of his 30-room home.

Channel 4 changes name of satirical Andrew musical
In a wry nod to the announcment from the Palace last night, Channel 4 say they have "initiated the formal process to remove the style, title and honours of Prince Andrew: The Musical"
The satirical musical, which aired in 2022 and has since been available on demand, will now be known as 'Andrew: The Musical'.
Striking Andrew's name off official roll of peerages is a significant move
Today, a key step in the process emerged when the Palace confirmed Andrew's name had now been struck off the official roll of the peerage.
Dukes, including the Duke of York, are listed on the roll of the peerage maintained at the Crown Office and, as Lord Chancellor, David Lammy is responsible for maintaining it.
Mr Lammy, who is also Justice Secretary, was due to be sent royal warrants by the King to strike the Duke from the roll, as well as his Prince title and HRH style.
This means an Act of Parliament will not be required to officially remove Andrew's titles, which also include Earl of Inverness and Baron Killyleagh. His daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, will not be affected by any changes.
