Star Wars 2016 Stand Alone Film Guide

In addition to the new Star Wars trilogy, Lucasarts has committed to producing multiple stand-alone Star Wars feature films. These stories will be separate from the plot of the core Star Wars films, while occurring within the same universe and continuity.

The first of these films was officially confirmed on May 22, 2014, via a post on starwars.com. Godzilla director Gareth Edwards will take the helm, with Telltale's Walking Dead Season 1 writer Garry Whitta penning the script. The Star Wars stand alone 2016 film will debut on December 18, 2016.
