Publishing giant THQ reiterated to IGN Thursday that it is working on multiple Revolution projects. A spokesperson for the company further revealed that one of its first games will be a version of Disney/Pixar's Cars for Nintendo's next generation platform. The title will debut "in the launch window" of the new system, according to the publisher.

Cars has previously been announced for just about every major console and handheld in existence, including GameCube, PlayStation 2, Xbox, PC, Game Boy Advance and Nintendo DS. The title follows the upcoming Pixar animated comedy of the same name. The project will deliver both racing and adventure elements, boast 10 playable car characters, a host of free-roaming environments and some 50 races. In addition, the stars of the feature film will lend their voices to the game.

Although THQ has not yet announced an official release date, Cars is expected to debut for current generation platforms in conjunction with the movie this June. The Revolution build will obviously come later this year, as Nintendo's new generation platform is set for a November release.
