“Daily Show” host Desi Lydic melted down Thursday over her growing agreement with Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.). (Watch the video below.)
Greene’s cry for the release of the Jeffrey Epstein files and an actual Republican health care plan amid the shutdown is making reluctant fans of Democrats.
“I was not expecting that,” Lydic said.“... Good for you, Marjorie. You know what they say, even a stopped clock is right twice a day. Or as Marjorie Taylor Greene says, ’Clocks cause autism.’”
A jab at Greene’s conspiracy-mongering couldn’t shake the host from growing dread over her alignment with the right-wing firebrand, who was even booked to appear on “The View” next week.
When Lydic realized that she also agreed with the Georgia lawmaker’s outrage at Trump’s bailout of Argentina’s beef industry, thunder and lightning erupted around her. And the foul weather returned.
Lydic eventually turned to the Louvre heist story to escape her torment, but that didn’t work either. Correspondent Troy Iwata informed her that, thankfully, the Mona Lisa and a painting of Marjorie Taylor Greene were not among the stolen works.
“Everyone knows Majorie Taylor Greene is a national treasure,” he sniffed.
Fast-forward to 2:15 for this comedy masterpiece:
