ALL 34C-24-34 of Caprice flew into Edinburgh yesterday, every inch of her determined to resuscitate a pop career currently enjoying its second launch.

The woman who turned the Wonderbra into a household name was in the capital to promote her new single, Once Around the Sun, at a charity rock show at the Playhouse alongside A1, Samantha Mumba, and BBMak.

The 29-year-old US model, who has been linked romantically with Prince Andrew and Rod Stewart, had to be escorted by police to the safety of her burgundy people carrier as thousands of Welsh fans returning home after Saturday's match looked suspiciously close to whipping up a mob. Her agent said: ''We've had to take her out the international departure way because the police said there were too many Welsh fans around.''

Sporting a leather jacket, a Motorhead t-shirt, tight blue jeans and her regulation black stilettos, she seemed oblivious to the commotion.

The concert sponsored by Radio Forth as part of the Help a Child appeal is the latest platform for her single about lost love which is thought to have been inspired by Tony Adams, captain of Arsenal FC.

However, the woman referred to by her adoring fans as ''sex on legs'' confined her bubbly commentary at the airport to: ''I'm really excited about the concert. I had a good reception in Scotland last time I was here. I have to get back to get ready for tonight.''

With that, the American beauty left hundreds of gaping jaws in her wake.
