Everett police chief to retire, replacement named

After two years in the role and 27 years at the department, John DeRousse will retire at the end of the year. Deputy Chief Robert Goetz will serve in his place.

Everett approves $2.5M land purchase for new police evidence room

The ceremony celebrated 27 new police officers, many who will work in Snohomish County.

House passes bill giving police greater ability to undertake pursuits

The measure would allow a police officer to initiate a chase with reasonable suspicion a crime has been committed.
