If you and your family are struggling with challenges in your daily life, Help Network of Northeast Ohio is here for you. We administer or refer to a wide variety of emergency and non-emergency assistance programs that can get you the help you need.

Suicide and Crisis Intervention/Prevention
24/7/365, Help Network’s hotline is for individuals contemplating suicide, or concerned friends or family members seeking help for a loved one. We are also a call center for the National Suicide and Crisis Prevention Lifeline (988) for our local region. Help Network is also a 24-hour crisis intervention hotline for individuals experiencing any type of crisis.

211 Information and Referral
A comprehensive, up-to-date database of community resources available 24 hours a day, offering centralized information and referral for individuals seeking various services in the community- whether via programs offered by Help Network of Northeast Ohio or referral to other agencies.

Intensive Guardianship Program
This program is for individuals who are in need of a Guardian to oversee them. It can only be accessed through referrals from the Mental Health & Recovery or Developmental Disabilities systems that contract with Help Network for Guardian Services. In addition, the probate court has ultimate approval of all the guardianships.
Payeeship Programs
The Payeeship Program provides support to individuals who are unable to manage their income. These individuals are referred by the Mental Health & Recovery or Developmental Disabilities providers for consideration. This service is provided for individuals from Mahoning and Trumbull counties.

Peer Resource and Recovery Programs
These programs allow individuals with severe and persistent mental illness to gather and participate in programming to assist in coping with their illness. There are recovery groups along with social, recreational, and fitness activities to promote overall wellness and fellowship. In addition, this program has a number of peer specialists who have specific training to work with individuals with mental illness and/or substance abuse issues. Housing Opportunities Program
This program provides rental assistance for up to two years to Mahoning County residents who are receiving services through agencies connected with the Mahoning County Mental Health and Recovery Board. Help Network also offers permanent and supportive housing vouchers through this program. Participants in both of these programs must be involved with the Mahoning County Mental Health and Recovery system. Help Network is also in a partnership with two other social services providers in the Commons at Madison, a permanent and supportive housing project designed for individuals with mental health and/or substance abuse issues.
Family Success Network
The Family Success Network is a child abuse and neglect prevention program geared toward all families in Columbiana, Mahoning, and Trumbull Counties. This program is designed to strengthen resiliency and increase protective factors for families through information and referral, Family Coaching, Triple P, Transition to Independence, and Money 101 programs. Through this voluntary program, at risk families can gain the knowledge and skills necessary to avoid child welfare intervention.

Special Navigator for Families with Special Needs
This program offers free guidance and referral information to families that have children with developmental disabilities, mental health/emotional issues, substance abuse, autism spectrum disorder, epilepsy, and more. A Parent/Family Specialist provides free support, guiding families to navigate the maze of educational, medical, mental health, substance abuse matters, and community support services. This service is available for Mahoning and Trumbull County residents.

Victims Assistance
The agency offers immediate crisis intervention and emergency linkage to victim services, rape counselors, and domestic violence professionals/shelters. A Victims Advocate provides community support, advocacy and reassurance to victims of crime following a traumatic experience.
Senior Line
Information and referral and support services are available to the 55+ population of Mahoning, Trumbull, and Columbiana Counties.
Suicide Prevention Education
Speakers are available to discuss suicide prevention at schools, groups and trainings.
Deaf and Hearing-Impaired
Help Network of Northeast Ohio is able to assist deaf and hearing-impaired individuals via the TDD with all services listed and to contact interpreter services after hours.
