GulfBase is the only free, searchable database of people, places, projects, events, and organizations in the Gulf. Created and maintained by the Harte Research Institute at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, our vision was to create an easy-to-use one-stop portal for all things Gulf. The Gulf, the world’s ninth-largest body of water, supports some of the world’s largest fisheries and astonishing species diversity, but it’s also facing unprecedented environmental and economic challenges. GulfBase aims to be a resource for a broad audience of knowledge-seekers: From scientists seeking new collaborators to students researching a science project.
