Anyone can walk into Uniqlo on any old day and walk out with a pile of nicely-priced menswear. But among the absolute best times to secure your fix are Uniqlo U drop days, when the first pieces from the brand's fashion-y (with a lower-case 'f') sub-label start making their way onto the physical and digital shelves. Today is one of the days. As of this week, the latest Uniqlo U autumn/winter assortment has landed – and, as expected, it's better than ever.
For anyone unfamiliar, Uniqlo U is the brainchild of Christophe Lemaire and Sarah-Linh Tran, red-hot fashion (with a capital 'F') designers moonlighting from their day jobs at the equally hot Paris-based label Lemaire. For almost exactly a decade now, Uniqlo U has charted in the top-right corner of the “Affordable and Looks Fucking Great” graph, and this season is no exception. After a not-so-quick gander, I clocked some of the raddest sub-£50 pants on the market, riches of outstanding outerwear, and killer knitwear aplenty.
For the most part, the full Uniqlo U autumn/winter selection is available right this very moment—though the buzziest stuff tends to sell out pretty quickly, at least in key sizes.
