So the closure Romy finds is realizing that she's not a dead girl, that she CAN go find this other girl from Godwit, that she CAN tell her story and make people listen, that she CAN speak up, CAN be seen.

When something like this happens, that's the most closure that you can hope to achieve, figuring out what to do beyond THAT. There is no moving on or forgetting enough that it's like it never happened, because it has happened and that never goes away. So if you're looking for closure, that's pretty much it. If you wanted something beyond that, too bad, cuz we don't get anything else, and that's the best you're getting out of this book.

If you mean you wanted to get to know what happens with these specific characters, I wish that I could know for sure <spoiler>Romy did press charges, and Kelland and Brock DID go to jail for a very long time.</spoiler> Even in that sense though, a lot of women, if they never report or tell anyone about it, or it happened when they were younger, don't get that either...(less)

She was raped, and then further harassed by her classmates, former friends, teachers and even neighbours. She might not have been "nice" all the time but no one put in her situation could be. Plus Romy was extremely kind to plenty of people in the book even when she didn't have to be kind.(less)

Cuz the first time, you go in not knowing anything, you know only what Romy knows, but if you read it again, knowing everything, then i bet you would see the hidden meanings and little details in everything that influence the whole story.(less)
