LeBron James is a dad of 3: What to know about his kids
Basketball legend LeBron James -- the NBA's all-time leading scorer -- is a proud dad of three children, two of whom have followed in his footsteps in basketball.
James' younger son, Bryce James, is a rising star player at the University of Arizona after officially signing with the team in April 2025.
Bryce James' older brother, Bronny James, played one season at the University of Southern California before turning pro and being drafted in 2024 by the Los Angeles Lakers, joining the same NBA team as his dad.
“When it comes to the titles, that's one separate thing. But to be able to play in this league and also being able to do it alongside Bronny right now, that's one of the biggest accomplishments and probably the No. 1 accomplishment I've ever been able to do," LeBron James said on the Jan. 15 episode of the "New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce" podcast.

"To work with your son — I've heard it from a lot of people and, not only [in] sports, but I've heard it in business and [other] walks of life, and they say it's the greatest thing you could ever have," he continued.
LeBron James -- who announced on Oct. 7 that he will play a 23rd season in the NBA -- and Bronny James made NBA history in October 2024, when they took the court together as the Lakers faced the Minnesota Timberwolves in their season opener.
As the father-son duo teamed up in their NBA debut, the rest of the James family watched the game unfold at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, including mom Savannah James, son Bryce and daughter Zhuri.
"Going up to the scorer's table with my dad and checking in for the first time was a crazy moment I will never forget," Bronny James said after the Lakers defeated the Timberwolves.
"It's always been family over everything, so to be able to have this moment where I'm working still and I could work alongside my son is one of the greatest gifts I've ever got from the man above and I'm going to take full advantage of it," LeBron James added.
LeBron James' family often cheers him on at games, including at the 2024 Paris Olympics as the U.S. men's basketball team won gold.

The Akron, Ohio, native has said he takes fatherhood seriously, having grown up without his own dad present in his life, and he prioritizes being present with his kids.
When Bronny James celebrated his 21st birthday on Oct. 6, 2025, Lebron James shared a video on his Instagram stories of the father and son playing golf together, writing, "How he wanted to spend his 21st! On the links. Sharing some moments with his pops."

Savannah James

LeBron James and Savannah James first met and started dating as teenagers in Akron, when he was a St. Vincent-St. Mary High School basketball star and she was a softball player for Buchtel High School.
The couple welcomed their first child in 2004 and their second in 2007 before they married in 2013. Their third child, their only daughter, was born in 2014.
In May, LeBron James described his wife as his "queen" when stepped up to attend the 2025 Met Gala solo after he suffered a knee injury at the end of the basketball season.
"Unfortunately because of my knee injury I sustained at the end of the season I won't be able to attend the Met Gala in NY tonight as so many people have been asking and congratulating me on!," the Lakers star wrote in a post on X, adding, "My beautiful and powerful Queen will be there holding the castle down as she always has done!"
Savannah James stood out on her own in a gown by Hanifa designer Anifa Mvuemba that aligned with the night's theme -- "Superfine: Tailoring Black Style" -- and dress code, "Tailored for You."
Bronny James

The James' eldest child, LeBron Raymone "Bronny" James Jr., was born on Oct. 6, 2004.
On his 21st birthday on Oct. 6, 2025, Lebron James shared a tribute to his son on Instagram, writing, "From day 1 you’ve always set out goals and have accomplished them because you’ve always been driven! To be able to witness it throughout your journey has been nothing short of amazing! Can’t believe you’re 21 years old man! ... Keep inspiring, keep leading the next generation and most important keep being YOU!!"
Bronny James was drafted by the Lakers on June 27, becoming the No. 55 pick in the 2024 NBA draft.
When asked about the pressure he feels following his dad's legendary footsteps into professional basketball, Bronny James said his decision to join the NBA draft wasn't heavily influenced by what his dad does.
"I just want to come in and get my work in and get better every day. I never really had a thought of me going to play with my dad. But that’s always there to take part of, but it wasn’t a main focus of mine," Bronny James said in a July 2, 2024, press conference.
LeBron James said in his interview on the "New Heights" podcast that he feels like he's getting time back with his son by playing alongside him in the NBA.
“To see him every day, grinding and going through the process of trying to become who he wants to become while I'm sitting there and just watching him, and doing the things that he wants to do and being able to just take it all in ... it helps me get some of the minutes and hours and years back that I did not have with him because I was playing so much and on the road and doing my own thing, and traveling,” LeBron James said. "So to be able to get some of his time back now, man, it's pretty special.”
Bronny James entered the NBA after playing college basketball at the University of Southern California.
In July 2023, Bronny James was hospitalized after suffering a cardiac arrest while at a USC basketball practice session. He was later discharged and a family spokesperson revealed the rising basketball star's health scare was likely due to a congenital heart defect.
Savannah and LeBron James both opened up about Bronny's cardiac arrest in "Starting 5," a Netflix docuseries, and credited the coaching and training staff at USC for helping to save their son's life.
"They are the reason Bronny is alive now and smiling and thriving and doing what any 19-year-old should be doing, and that's living out their dream," LeBron James said in a clip from the docuseries shared on X by James' "Uninterrupted" talk show page.
Bryce James

Like his father and older brother before him, Bryce Maximus James is a basketball star.
After playing high school basketball for the Sierra Canyon School in Chatsworth, Calif., Bryce James was signed in April 2025 by the University of Arizona, according to a post shared on his Instagram page.
In his senior season at Sierra Canyon in 2025, Bryce James and his team won the CIF Boys Basketball State Championships, according to the school.
A video shared on LeBron James's Instagram page shows the NBA legend hugging his son after the team's win.
In the 2022 interview with Sports Illustrated, James expressed hope about playing basketball professionally with both of his sons.
"I feel like I could play for quite a while. So it's all up to my body, but more importantly, my mind," James said at the time. "If my mind can stay sharp and fresh and motivated, then the sky's not even a limit for me. I can go beyond that. But we shall see."
Zhuri Nova James

Zhuri is the youngest of the James children and was born on Oct. 22, 2014.
In an Instagram post shared by the NBA in July 2025, Zhuri showed off her own basketball skills as she dribbled a basketball courtside in front of her dad, whom she then celebrated with a special handshake.
On Zhuri's ninth birthday in 2023, James celebrated her birthday on Instagram, captioning a series of photos, "Happy Bday My Princess 👸🏾 Z!! Love you ♾️ and more!!!"
Throughout the 2024 Paris Olympics, LeBron James was spotted alongside his wife and daughter, Zhuri, watching other athletes compete.
Zhuri has her own Instagram account with over 420,000 subscribers.
