Not a bad Snatch Game of Love at all. There have certainly been worse ones, and recently. Beyond Liberacegate, Angeria delivered far better than I thought she would as Marla Gibbs, and for a supposed anointed frontrunner, I couldn’t have been less impressed from Roxxxy Andrews’s tired Tasha Salad character. Plastique was a total dead-eyed flop (so disrespectful to Emmy winner Ali Wong!), and Vangie can’t be anything other than Vangie at this point (which she’s never penalized for). Nina West and Gottmik were both deserving winners. I’m not sure what Gottmik did in the lip-sync that was so deserving of the win, unless that was just the lesser of two evils from Nina West’s desperation with all of those RuVeals. Not much fashion could happen with the tail and two titties runway theme, but we’re surely seeing some glow-ups this season regardless. Too bad it’s for a charity season no one cares about, but whatever bitches, the show must go on.

The only real drama of the season is with those silly BBBs (Beautiful Benefactress Badges™), which is fine, I guess, b/c the cast is routinely serving looks and fun camaraderie, and that’s good enough for me right now. For strategy purposes, Nina West really fumbled giving her badge to Roxxxy, b/c now Roxxxy’s the frontrunner, going from zero badges to three badges lol. Easy producer manipulations are at play, b/c Roxxxy and Plastique didn’t need to win the property queens challenge whatsoever. I can be good with Roxxxy being the ultimate winner, b/c she’s one of the OGs who “All-Stars” should be all about anyways (I’d make a rule that the last five seasons of flagship queens are ineligible to participate, but that would never fly in this current environment, and Gottmik and Angeria have been killing it). But a third of this cast is from seasons 13 and 14. Roxxxy blocking Angeria for the THIRD time would have been absolutely cunt lmao. No takebacks, ever! Nina should have given her badge to Shannel, and TBH, the makeover challenge was a dud with those boring ass firefighters (nothing like the Vegas dancers one from S16). Plastique and Jorgeous lucked out getting the gay one, and the Powerpuff Girls reference was the strongest girl group in my book. Probably would have thrown the real estate one to Nina and Shannel. It’s tired punching down using cheap Southern stereotypes for laughs, and both Roxxxy/Plastique and Vanjie/Angeria went too overboard. The “Black Cat” lip sync was fierce, even with Roxxxy barely using the stage and Vanjie barely knowing the words. “Super Freaky Girl” would have been a fun win for Plastique, if the narrative of dead-eyed glamazon turns into newfound comedy queen ever really takes hold. Brothers Osborne were surprisingly good guest judges, and Alec Mapa is always a hoot.
