As far as I can tell, the only firm requirement for nominees that they have a budget cap of $30 million. With that in mind, here’s few movies I think could do well:

    -The Ballad of Wallis Island
    -The Chronology of Water
    -Die, My Love
-If I Had Legs I’d Kick You
    -The Mastermind
    -Pillion
    -Sorry, Baby
    -The Testament of Ann Lee
    -Train Dreams
    -Urchin

Thinking Pillion will get a lot of citations. Also curious to see if Sirât makes an appearance…

I’m hoping Sorry, Baby does really well. Fingers crossed, because I’d love to see the buzz for this expand and for more people to discover it!

I think a lot of the Oscar contenders have been underperforming and this one deserves at the very least to be in the conversation to become a nomination contender in Picture, Screenplay, Actress & Supporting Actress.

Just submitted my ballot a few minutes ago. I was cutting it pretty close to the 5:00 PST voting deadline but I had one last movie to squeeze in this afternoon: Roofman.

Overall I felt like this was a VERY strong batch of nominees. I had tough choices to make in several categories which never happens.

I only voted in the film categories and here’s what I went with:

    1. Feature: Twinless
    2. First Feature: Lurker
    3. Director: Mary Bronstein- If I Had Legs I’d Kick You
    4. Screenplay: Twinless
    5. First Screenplay: Lurker
    6. Lead Performance: Dylan O’Brien- Twinless
    7. Supporting Performance: Jane Levy- A Little Prayer
    8. Breakthrough Performance: Kayo Martin- The Plague
    9. Cinematography: Dust Bunny
    10. Editing: Splitsville
    11. International Feature: A Poet
    12. Documentary: I abstain. I ran out of time and didn’t get around to watching them.

As always I look forward to reading what my fellow voters chose.

    First Place- 2018 DGA Awards
    First Place- 2015 DGA Awards
First Place- 2015 Razzie Award Nominations
First Place- 2015 Academy Of Country Music Awards

Here are my votes. As usual I try to spread the wealth. Hardest was choosing between Rose Byrne and Dylan. Wish it was two winners like some nongender awards

    1. Feature: Train Dreams
    2. First Feature: Lurker
    3. Director: Eva Victoria, Sorry Victor
    4. Screenplay: Twinless
    5. First Screenplay: Lurker
    6. Lead Performance: Dylan O’Brien- Twinless
    7. Supporting Performance: Nina Hoss – Hedda
    8. Breakthrough Performance: Liz Larsen – The Baltimorons
    9. Cinematography: Train Dreams
    10. Editing: Testament of Ann Lee
    11. International Feature: The Secret Agent
    12. Documentary: Abstain. Didn’t watch them all. Who has time to watch a 5 plus hour Documentary.
    TV
Adolescence for all three categories Stephen, Erin and Owen.
