The flame lighting ceremony for China's 15th National Games, the 12th National Games for Persons with Disabilities and 9th National Special Olympic Games was held in Guangzhou, the capital of South China's Guangdong Province, on Thursday.
Beijing recorded on Thursday the coldest day in early October over the past 74 years with the highest temperature recorded dropping to 10.6 C, as the Chinese capital city has been drenched with a continuing heavy rainfall since Wednesday, Beijing Daily reported.
