The right-wing UK political party Reform has refused to rule out using Gibraltar as an asylum processing base, were it to gain power.
This is according to Reform MP, Sarah Pochin, speaking during a debate on support and accommodation for asylum seekers.
Labour MP, Luke Charters, pointed out that Reform had mooted the idea of using British overseas territories for this purpose.
He asked her if she would rule out any asylum processing taking place in the Falklands or Gibraltar.
Ms Pochin said she would not rule out any possible policy.
Asked for comment by GBC, Number Six said, "Immigration policy is the competence of the Government of Gibraltar, which rejects the idea of processing asylum seekers here as a matter of policy."
The Government said this was in addition to what it called "obvious space constraints".
