Isabel Berwick

Working It Editor

Isabel Berwick leads the FT's Working It brand, covering the workplace, management and the future of work. She writes the weekly Working It newsletter for FT subscribers, makes videos and podcasts and frequently appears as a moderator and speaker for FT and external events. Her book, The Future-Proof Career, was published in 2024.

Isabel joined the FT in 1999 from the Independent on Sunday, where she was the business editor. She won the Wincott Award for her personal finance reporting before moving into senior editing roles on FT Weekend and the Opinion desk. In 2018 she became Work & Careers editor, overseeing the FT's management, leadership and workplace content. She left that role early in 2023 to focus full-time on the Working It brand.
