Kyle Roderick covers design-driven, limited edition jewelry and important timepieces. She reports on diamonds and diamond jewelry design for www.realisadiamond.com. She authored and photo edited BEJEWELED, the first book documenting how consumer demand for sustainable and ethically produced jewels is reforming the jewelry industry into a more ecologically responsible, sustainable and economically humane business. As designers, mining companies and trade organizations institute and adhere to earth-friendly extraction methods and Fair Trade employment standards, they enrich miners’ and artisans’ lives while providing consumers with luxury jewels embodying traceable, ethical origins. Roderick writes marketing communications for jewelry companies; her Instagram @bijouxreview partners with designers, jewelry companies and others. Formerly a photo editor and writer at the Gemological Institute of America (GIA), she co-produced the first edition of GIA’s GOLD AND PRECIOUS METALS course. Roderick’s articles have appeared in the Los Angeles Times, Harper’s Bazaar and Vanity Fair. She earned a bachelor’s degree from Sarah Lawrence College.
