There was a surprise result when twelfth rankedBamberg (2-2) defeated at home higher ranked Chemnitz (3-2) 96-82 on Sunday. Bamberg looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Czech point guard Richard Balint (192-2002, agency: Octagon Europe) stepped up and scored 18 points, 5 assists and 6 steals for the winners and American swingman Ibrahim Watson-Boye (196-1998, college: Dayton) chipped in 18 points and 4 assists. Bamberg's coach Anton Gavel used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. American guard Grayson Murphy (187-1999, college: Belmont) responded with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 rebounds and the other American import point guard Corey Davis (186-1997, college: Houston) produced a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 assists.
