Eagle Bay's First Ever Climbing Lock-in!!!
All Scouts and Venture Crew units are invited to Eagle Bay District Bouldering and Climbing Lock-in. Get ready for glow in the dark climbing, climbing competition, and the chance to earn the climbing Merit Badge!
Event highlights:
- Special climb time for Eagle Scouts, SPL's, and leaders on Friday night
- Eagle Bay's first ever climbing competition
- Black Light Glow Climbing Party on Saturday night
- The opportunity to earn the Climbing Merit badge
- No tent needed, overnight accomadations will be in the climbing gym
Cost:
$65 for Climbers
$40 for non climbers
Cost includes: Three meals on Saturday and a to-go breakfast on Sunday, climbing gear rental(For Climber registration), a patch and a Neon shirt (Shirt size is limited, correct sizing for those who register first), and fun!

Climbing merit badge pre requirements:
These can be found in the Climbing Merit Badge Workbook. Complete requirements 1a-d,2,4a-d,6a,6c-d and be ready to have open discussion. This will give the Scouts the best opportunity to have enough time to complete the Climbing Merit Badge. The Workbook is attached on side bar.
Already have the Climbing Merit Badge?
Come test your climbing skills and compete with other Scouts to win Eagle Bays first ever climbing competition. During your climbing sessions we will score your top 3 rope climbs and your top 3 boulder climbs before dinner on Saturday. Scores will be added up and announced at the closing ceremony Saturday before the Glow climbing event.
The Climbing Competition is open to all Scouts registered as climbers attending the Lock-in.
Medical Form
A-B Medical form is required at check in.
A waiver must be completed for On the Rocks Climbing Gym before the event, this includes everyone in attendance for the event (even if they are not climbing). We are asking that everyone completes their waiver by March 2, 2026. Waviers must be signed by Parent or Guardian and cannot be signed by another party, including scout leaders.
