The Empowerment Program is a Denver-based nonprofit that removes barriers to health, housing, education, and employment so individuals can live a healthier life.  Since 1985, we have worked alongside our participants, primarily cis and transgender women who have lived experiences with the criminal legal system and/or homelessness, to connect them with the services they need to achieve their goals.  Since our founding, we’ve redefined “Empowerment” as a form of collective action.
Notice: Limited Intakes for Services:
As Empowerment transitions to a new Electronic Health Records system in the coming months, intakes are paused for enrollment into Groups and Care Management.  At this time, we are not accepting general intakes for our services. Only individuals who qualify for the WAGEES or WHP programs are eligible to apply.  If you submit a form for general services and do not meet the eligibility criteria for WAGEES or WHP, you will not be placed on a waitlist as we ask you to check back at a future date to be determined.  Thank you for your understanding.
