Kos: Ukraine's EU integration 'only way' to secure peace

Ukraine's EU membership is mentioned in a revised peace plan for the country. In an exclusive interview, EU Enlargement Commissioner Marta Kos explains to DW whether Ukraine membership by 2027 is technically possible.

In an unprecedented move, the European Commission will move Ukraine's membership process forward at a technical level despite Hungary blocking official talks on accession. The EU's Marta Kos would not commit to a timeline, but told DW she was "very happy" that EU membership is included in a peace plan for Ukraine.
