Spoilers for Channel 5's The Imposter follow.

Channel 5's The Imposter began airing this week, and so far fans are gripped by the intense thriller. Coronation Street's Kym Marsh leads the drama's ensemble cast alongside Neighbours legend Jackie Woodburne.

Set in Australia, Wooburne stars as Helen, the matriarch of a dysfunctional family, who owns a hotel with her three adult children. When Helen refuses to sell the hotel, a family feud breaks out, with one of her sons playing extra dirty.

In episode one it was revealed that Helen had a daughter she put up for adoption in England decades ago who recently tried to reconnect with her. Despite Helen not getting a reply to her letter, Amanda (Marsh) suddenly turned up in Australia.

But is Amanda really who she says she is? Well no, Amanda is the titular imposter, having cooked up a scheme with Helen's son Simon to convince her to hand the hotel over to them.

Alongside Woodburne and Marsh, The Imposter also stars another soap legend — Dannii Minogue.

Minogue played Emma Jackson in Home and Away from 1989 to 1990 and, although she's gone to have plenty of success in both the TV and pop world, the series marks her first major acting role since leaving the soap.

But two episodes into the series, Minogue is yet to be seen, except for a glimpse of her in the teaser trailer.

However, viewers on X believe they've worked out that Minogue is playing the real Amanda and she may come along soon to rumble Simon and the fake Amanda's plan.

One viewer wrote: "So is Dannii going to rock up as the real Amanda?" while another added: "I’m guessing @DanniiMinogue is the real daughter!?"

"Poor Helen, not one of her kids or alleged kids has a decent bone in their body, I’m hoping her "real" adopted daughter is going to show up, Dani Minogue my guess and save poor Helen and we’ll get the happy ending," penned another.

One viewer said of the show: "Hate how they keep having @DanniiMinogue on the teasers but not a sniff of her on the actual show yet! #TheImposter."

Since Dannii was featured in the teaser at the end of episode two, we can only hope she finally turns up when the series continues tomorrow night (Wednesday 16 December).

The Imposter airs at 9pm on Channel 5.
